Copyright
Who owns Lite News content and what that means if you want to reuse it.
Version 2.1 · Last updated 16 August 2026.
Copyright at a glance
NXT Ltd owns or licenses the rights it grants in Lite News content to the extent those rights subsist. A licence is what allows republishing, not simply opening a feed URL.
The summary below is for orientation. The sections that follow are the full notice.
- We write original articles from public information; we do not copy other outlets’ wording.
- Facts are not owned, but our expression of them is protected.
- Licensed reuse still requires attribution and the limits in your plan.
This summary does not replace the full terms below.

1. Overview
Lite News is operated by NXT Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 08817847. We respect copyright and other intellectual property rights. This policy explains our approach to (a) publishing original reporting and (b) how Lite News content may be accessed and reused.
2. How we produce original content
Articles published by Lite News are intended to be original works created using publicly available information at the time of writing, including public statements, official data, regulatory publications, and reporting by other publishers.
NXT Ltd owns or licenses the rights it grants in Lite News content to the extent those rights subsist and has authority to grant the rights described in the applicable licence.
A fuller description of research, drafting, and checks is available on How we publish.
We use publicly available sources to identify and verify reported facts, prioritising authoritative primary material where relevant and available. We do not seek to reproduce third-party wording, distinctive expression, or editorial presentation. Articles are generated from a validated evidence base and checked for inappropriate similarity before publication. NXT Ltd is the publisher of Lite News and sets and operates its editorial standards and publishing controls.
3. Facts, data, and third-party expression
Facts and raw data are generally not protected by copyright, but a third party’s selection, arrangement, and expression of those facts may be protected. Our goal is to describe reported facts clearly using our own wording and structure, rather than replicate another publisher’s expression.
4. Quotations and attribution
- In limited circumstances, short quotations from public documents or statements may be included where necessary for accuracy or context. Where we quote, we aim to keep quotations brief and attribute them clearly.
- We do not reproduce extended passages, paywalled material, or substantial portions of copyrighted text.
5. Using Lite News content
You may share links to Lite News articles freely.
5.1 Free sample RSS feed
Lite News may provide a free sample RSS feed containing headlines and limited excerpts for reading and evaluation. This sample feed does not grant republication or redistribution rights.
5.2 Licensed feeds and reuse rights
Publishers, platforms, and other organisations can access full-content feeds and reuse rights under a licence. Licensing terms vary by plan and may cover permitted republication, syndication, archival use, and technical delivery formats.
