An AI-powered publishing system built around evidence and trust
A story may begin with an announcement, filing, report, or other newsworthy development, but that is only the starting point. Lite News does not simply turn the initial source into an article. It applies a controlled, multi-stage workflow built around five principles:
- Research and writing remain separate.
- Proposed claims are linked to supporting evidence.
- Authoritative primary sources are prioritised where relevant and available.
- Separate controls operate before and after writing.
- A story cannot be published unless every required check has passed.
AI and automated controls operate across the workflow, and quality control is built into the evidence requirements and checks applied at each stage.

Our purpose-built publishing workflow
Screen for suitability and risk
Potential stories are screened for relevance, publication risk, and suitability for concise factual coverage. Stories that present unresolved risks or require a different level of evidence or editorial judgement do not proceed.
Research across relevant sources
Stories that pass the initial screen are researched across multiple publicly available sources. Authoritative primary material, including official statements, regulatory filings, public records, and first-party documentation, is prioritised where relevant and available.
Build and validate the evidence base
The research is organised into a structured record linking proposed claims to supporting evidence. Sources and claims are assessed for authority, relevance, and corroboration. If there are not enough supported facts, the process stops before writing begins.
Generate the article
Once the required evidence has passed validation, AI generates the article from the supported facts. The article uses Lite News’s concise, factual, and neutral style and is structured and worded independently rather than adapted from another publisher’s report.
Check before publication
The completed article is checked for factual support, consistency with the validated evidence, inappropriate similarity, and publication risk. It must also meet Lite News’s editorial and formatting requirements. Articles that fail a required check are corrected and checked again, or withheld from publication.
Publish to the feeds
Articles that pass every required check are classified by topic and delivered through the relevant RSS and JSON feeds, together with the article content and associated metadata for licensed publication.
Why the process is different
Layered controls, not a single AI response
Lite News separates research, evidence validation, writing, and final checks into distinct stages. The system does not rely on one AI response to research, write, and approve an article.
Traceable evidence
Proposed claims are linked to supporting sources before writing begins, creating a traceable connection between the evidence gathered and the article produced.
Risk screened early
Suitability and publication risk are assessed before drafting, preventing unsuitable stories from progressing through the standard workflow.
Stricter evidence for sensitive claims
Sensitive claims are subject to stricter evidence requirements, including authoritative primary-source support where required.
Verifiable production record
Structured audit records provide a basis for internal review and audit. Cryptographic hashes make changes detectable, creating a tamper-evident record of how an article was researched, checked, and produced.
Corrections and accountability
Accuracy and accountability continue after publication. In line with established editorial practice, Lite News maintains a process for correcting or withdrawing content after publication. Where a material inaccuracy is identified, Lite News may correct, update, or withdraw the affected content. Licensed customers may be notified where appropriate so they can reflect the change in retained copies.
Customers, readers, and anyone directly concerned by a story can report a question or concern about factual accuracy, attribution, originality, or another editorial matter.
