Free samples are for evaluation

Public sample feeds contain titles and descriptions so you can assess coverage, tone, cadence, and technical fit. You may read them, connect them for internal evaluation, and link to Lite News. They do not grant a right to republish full articles or redistribute the feed.

What the standard licensed plan permits

While your subscription is active, the Standard Licence permits you to publish Licensed Content under One Publication: one editorial product or brand that you own and control. It may be distributed through that brand’s owned website, application, newsletter, or comparable owned channels. A separately branded editorial product is a separate publication.

• Receive full article text and metadata through licensed RSS and JSON feeds.
• Select from all standard technology and business feeds in English and French.
• Format and style articles for your publication without changing the supplied text.
• Keep articles that were lawfully published during the subscription online after cancellation.

What is not included

The licensed plan does not permit you to:

• publish across more than one separately branded publication;
• resell, sublicense, syndicate, or redistribute the feeds or articles;
• offer Lite News content through your own API, feed, wire, or content marketplace;
• remove required attribution or present the reporting misleadingly; or
• publish new Licensed Content after your subscription ends.

Attribution

Every published article must include clear, visible attribution. The standard wording is:

During the domain transition, ‘Source: Lite News / lite.news’ remains acceptable for articles already published or workflows not yet updated. New implementations should use the new address.

Placement may follow your design, provided an ordinary reader can see the attribution on or immediately adjacent to the article.

When you need a custom agreement

Contact us before using content across separately branded publications, or if you need redistribution, combined feeds, another topic, NewsML-G2, a different history window, or negotiated terms. Those rights apply only where they are expressly granted in a written custom agreement.
