- You must credit Lite News and may not resell or redistribute the content.
- After ordinary cancellation, you may keep articles published while subscribed online subject to the continuing licence conditions, but may not publish new ones. Articles must be removed if a consumer receives a refund under the 14-day cancellation right.
- The subscription renews monthly until cancelled through the Stripe billing portal.

1. Parties and acceptance
This licence is granted by NXT Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08817847 and VAT number GB 248 7977 38, whose registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ (“NXT”, “we”, “us”), to the person or organisation purchasing the licensed plan (“you”). Lite Group Media is a trading name of NXT Ltd and Lite News is the licensed feed product.
You accept these terms when you purchase, access, or use a licensed feed. If you buy for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. The service is designed primarily for business and professional publishing use, but nothing in these terms removes statutory rights that apply if you contract as a consumer.
2. Licensed Content and service
“Licensed Content” means the Lite News articles and associated metadata made available to you through authenticated RSS and JSON feeds under this plan. “One Publication” means one editorial product or brand that you own and control. It may be distributed through that brand’s owned website, application, newsletter, or comparable owned channels. A separately branded editorial product is a separate publication. The plan includes all standard technology and business feeds in English and French, with a rolling availability window of up to seven days or 200 items per feed, whichever is smaller. Feed URLs, licence keys, and other access credentials are confidential and remain under our control.
Story volume varies with the news cycle and is not guaranteed. Feed URLs, credentials, formats, classifications, and reasonable technical limits may be updated where necessary to operate or secure the service.
3. Licence grant
Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence during your subscription to:
access and retrieve Licensed Content through your licensed feeds;
publish Licensed Content in One Publication;
use that publication’s owned website, application, newsletter, or comparable owned publishing channels;
format and style Licensed Content for presentation in your publication without altering the supplied headline, summary, or article text; and
store content reasonably necessary for that permitted publication and your internal editorial workflow.
A separately branded publication, even if owned by you, requires a custom licence. Custom rights apply only where they are expressly granted in a written custom agreement. Ask us before purchase if the boundary of your intended publication is unclear.
4. Attribution
Every published article must include clear, visible attribution. The standard wording is:
Source: Lite News / litenews.litegroup.media
During the domain transition, ‘Source: Lite News / lite.news’ remains acceptable for articles already published or workflows not yet updated. New implementations should use the new address.
Placement may follow your design, provided an ordinary reader can see the attribution on or immediately adjacent to the article.
5. Restrictions
You must not:
- publish Licensed Content in more than one separately branded publication;
- resell, sublicense, syndicate, redistribute, or expose Licensed Content or feed credentials to a third party;
- offer Licensed Content through an API, feed, wire, dataset, content marketplace, or service that substitutes for Lite News;
- use automated access materially beyond normal polling needs or evade access controls;
- use Licensed Content unlawfully, deceptively, or in a way that materially changes its meaning;
- suggest that NXT Ltd endorses you or your products; or
- remove copyright notices, attribution, or other rights information.
6. Price, payment, and renewal
The price, billing interval, and any applicable taxes are displayed before you place your order and confirmed after checkout. By purchasing the licensed plan, you agree to the price shown at checkout. Stripe processes payment and may apply its own customer-facing terms and privacy notice.
The subscription starts when checkout completes and renews automatically each month at the agreed price using the saved payment method until cancelled. We normally issue credentials within one business day. If payment fails, we may retry payment and suspend access until the account is brought up to date.
We may change the price for a future renewal by giving reasonable advance notice. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the new price applies.
7. Cancellation, suspension, and termination
You may cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless the portal states otherwise. Except where law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refundable.
If you are an individual acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft, or profession, you are a consumer for these terms. A consumer may cancel the initial subscription for any reason during the 14 days beginning on the day after checkout. Notify us through the consumer cancellation form, the contact form, or any other cancellation method we make available. We will refund amounts paid for the initial subscription within 14 days after receiving the cancellation notice, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise, and we will not deduct for service supplied during that period.
When a consumer uses this 14-day right, feed access and the licence end when the cancellation is processed. The consumer must stop accessing and publishing Licensed Content and remove any Lite News articles already published under the refunded subscription. This 14-day right is separate from ordinary cancellation at the end of a paid billing period. Mandatory rights available under the consumer’s local law are not affected.
We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material breach, security risk, misuse, or where operation of the service becomes unlawful. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy a remediable breach.
When the subscription ends, you must stop accessing the licensed feeds and publishing new Licensed Content. Articles lawfully published during the active subscription may remain in that publication, subject to continuing attribution and the restrictions in these terms.
8. Intellectual property and corrections
NXT Ltd owns or licenses the rights it grants in Licensed Content to the extent those rights subsist and has authority to grant this licence. No ownership is transferred to you.
We may correct, update, or withdraw content. You are responsible for applying a correction or removal notice that we send to you within a reasonable time. This obligation survives cancellation for as long as you keep a Licensed Content article online, and you must maintain a current contact email with us during that period. If you discover a material concern, notify us through the contact page and identify the article.
9. Service standards and warranties
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Because news and automated delivery can change, we do not guarantee a fixed number of stories, uninterrupted availability, or that every item will be complete, error-free, or suitable for your particular purpose.
You remain responsible for your publishing decisions, presentation, legal compliance, and any presentation or context you add. Nothing in the content is legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
10. Liability
Nothing in this licence excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that law does not permit us to limit.
If you contract as a business, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, goodwill, or data, except that this does not limit your obligation to pay fees or liability arising from misuse of intellectual property, breach of confidentiality, or fraud. Subject to the previous sentence, our aggregate liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the service in that period.
If you contract as a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill, but not business losses or loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Your statutory rights are not affected.
11. Confidentiality and credentials
You must keep feed URLs, keys, and credentials confidential and notify us promptly if they are exposed. Each party must protect confidential information received from the other and use it only to perform this agreement, except where disclosure is required by law or the information is already public through no breach.
12. General
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events outside its reasonable control. You may not assign or transfer this licence without our written consent. We may transfer it as part of a reorganisation or sale of the relevant business, provided this does not reduce your rights.
If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. No person other than the parties has a right to enforce this agreement under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
These terms, the checkout description, and any written order details form the entire agreement for the standard plan. A signed custom agreement takes priority for the matters it covers.
13. Governing law and contact
This licence is governed by the law of England and Wales. If you contract as a business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you contract as a consumer, you may also have rights to bring proceedings in the part of the UK or other country where you live.
Questions and notices may be sent through our contact page or by post to NXT Ltd at its registered office above.
